Hard to say WHY someone else does or doesn't do something. ![]() Perhaps it did not work properly and that is why it did not make it past beta. So in essence, unless you are actively using the page (in wich case you would see new mail as soon as the page loads after you click) you would not be notified once the login times out. Alot of people do not stay on their email page all day, and even if they did, Verizon's times out after like 15 minutes of inactivity and alot of people have pop-up blockers. but again, that is a secondary application doing so. ![]() If I use Outlook or thunder bird, I get notified. Unless I am signed into windows live messenger, then the messenger will pop up telling me when new mails arrive, but that is a secondary application doing so. I use Hotmail and Gmail (2 of the most popular we based emails), for my email and I do not have any sort of pop up or notification of new email (Gmail shows the new mail if I am looking at the inbox, without having to click inbox again, like I have to on hotmail). That feature is a basic tenet of any email app.how was that taken out? ![]()
